I've spent the afternoon since finishing this book thinking about how I wanted to start my review.
Clearly, from the rating, I loved the book.
From the hints at Greek mythology (a personal love) to the intricate political dances throughout, Kaianan is an almost perfect mix of Science Fiction and Fantasy.
It took a little bit for me to get into the flow of all the political stances, and while I think Violet could have expanded on some scenes more or reviewed the pacing of the story, I honestly think that it comes more from my lack of experience with Science Fiction as a genre.
I really got in to the flow of things about half way through the book, and immediately picked up Queen Kaianan once I finished Kaianan.
The characters - while many - are clearly loved by the author (even if I was disappointed that a certain *ahem* royal *ahem* didn't die when I *thought* she was going to die), and I have attached myself to at least half a dozen of them already (Prince Addi...)
Definitely a great start to what's shaping up to be a great series, and I can't wait to see how it plays out!

This book was amazing!!!

From the incredible start to the ending, ever word written made me wanting more!!!! I love this book a lot and I can't wait to read more of this series and more by Cara Violet!! I recommend this books for Si-Fi and Fantasy lovers, it has a great mix of both genres

Not only did I pick this second instalment of the Kaianan Trilogy straight after finishing the first, I... also finished reading it in the same day.
I absolutely adored it.
Queen Kaianan doesn't have quite the same pacing issues as Kaianan, and the action is just divine. I am completely and utterly in love and invested in the series, and I am so, so happy that there is not only another book left in the trilogy to read, but two additional books.
Cara's writing only improves in her sequel, and I am so excited to watch her progress.

This is my favourite book by a fraction with the relationship between Kaianan and her love interests starting to evolve and grow within the story. Kaianan may be a handful at times, but you can relate to her on many levels with the struggles she goes through figuring out her path in the big universe. The aura vs aura battle at the end is fast paced and action packed. Still have no idea how it will end, loving the twists and turns and the multiple character perspectives! Really hoping she comes out on top.

Cara Violet amazes again with this companion novel to the Kaianan Trilogy.
It is rare that we are able to get a glimpse into the background operations of battles and war, and with Darayan, Violet was able to show us things that authors rarely think about.
I don't want to go too into detail about it as I feel that everything I say could be spoilery, but there is a new character to be added to my favourites list.

And, of course, I still want Cuki merch, and I nearly spat my drink when he yelled "Coo Wee"!

 A brilliant close to the trilogy

The last book in the Kaianan Trilogy is a wild ride.

Tying together everything from the previous books, new twists, new *revelations*...

I don't think I can really give a review without giving anything away.

But Cara Violet only continues to improve with her writing and story, and I hope that the whispers of a continuation are true.

What a crazy ride!

The third book sums up everything and more! The ending is different to most books, going between multiple characters and their battles to grasp the reader and narrate the impact. Kaianan goes through all of the ups and downs with the reader riding alongside until the very end. I tried to guess what will happen at the end, but you honestly can’t predict what the author is thinking. I love the changes in the love relationships, struggling through the sad moments and coming out the other end with a smile on my face. 

An unexpected conclusion and a series I want to read again. I hope she releases more books in the near future!
